One of my favorite brussels sprout recipes is simply roasting them. I have never been a big fan of brussels sprouts. As a matter of fact, I hated them when I was younger. You can ask my mom!
After not eating brussels sprouts for years, my husband decided to try a new recipe which included bacon and chicken broth. I would like to say that I loved them right away, but that was not the case! It took making that recipe a few times before I decided I liked them. However, once all of the additions were made to the brussels srpouts, they were no longer as healthy as they could be.
Then I came across this: Roasted Brussels Sprouts. It’s a simple recipe, but the outcome is delicious and healthy!
Start by cleaning and cutting the bottoms off the brussels sprouts. I also like to take the outer leaves off, as they tend to be bitter and sometimes wilted.
Next, cut the brussels sprouts in half and place them in a bowl. Add Avocado Oil and Sea Salt. Mix them around until the avocado oil is on all the brussels sprouts.
Finally, place them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven at 400 degrees. Bake for 40 minutes, or until brown.
Serve immediately, as they are best when warm!
